“When we read Terry’s Monday Memo, it is as if he has read our minds by addressing issues of our current life that have been gnawing away at our souls. Other times he raises our awareness to issues we need to pray about. Always the messages are clearly written and easily understood; or as a dear friend would say, “He gets the hay down where the goats can get at it.” Best of all he directs us back to the ultimate solution, our faith in God.“

ABOUT MONDAY MEMO

Terry photo.png

I suppose I have always been thinking.
Over the years, thoughts have come in all kinds of places — in quiet moments, in conversations, in the middle of busy days, and often in the stillness of early mornings.  Some of those thoughts have been fleeting.  Others have stayed with me, settling in a little deeper and asking to be shared.
That is how these ‘Monday Memos’ began.  What started as a privileged invitation from a United Methodist bishop to write a simple weekly reflection became a rhythm — a way of putting into words the things I was noticing about faith, life, and the journey we are all walking together.  Because the truth is, life asks a lot of us.

Reverend Dr. Terry E. Walton, Author

There are moments of great joy and deep gratitude.  There are also seasons of uncertainty, questions, and challenges we did not see coming.  Through it all, we are trying to make sense of things — to understand, to grow, to hold on to what matters most.  And in the midst of it all, God is present.  Sometimes clearly.
Sometimes quietly.
But always faithfully.  These reflections are not meant to be answers as much as they are companions — small pauses in the week to think, to reflect, and perhaps to see something in a new way.  My hope is that within these pages, you might find encouragement, perspective, and maybe even a gentle reminder that you are not walking this journey alone.  If a single thought here stays with you…
If a single reflection brings clarity or comfort…

If a single moment helps you see God a little more clearly…Then these words have done what I hoped they would do.While walking this journey of Monday Memos you will discover several themes that repeat in slightly different ways.  Perhaps this is because they are still being processed and lived in my heart, even today.  Thank you for taking the time to read, reflect, and journey along.

Always thinking…
